Optician –Gregory's Optical (Full-time)

We expanding our dispensary and are searching for a full-time licensed Optician to join our health care team. We offer wages that lead the industry.

Gregory's Optical in London, Ontario is a busy 2 location opticianry that has serviced London for over 30 years. Both locations have doctors attached and have well trained and experienced staff to work with. Our team cares about ensuring that patients receive best in class care and products.

Gregory's is situated in two prime locations in East and West London and you have the opportunity to work in both.

  • Experience with Visual Eyes an asset

Position Overview:

  • Work in the optical gallery to provide outstanding choices.
  • Help our patients see their best by assisting them to select frames and lenses appropriate to their prescription and lifestyle
  • Solve any problems patients may encounter and ensure they are pleased with their eyewear
  • Be a team player and assist other team members to ensure great workflow
  • Demonstrate exceptional product knowledge
  • Motivated to stay current with technology and trends

Main Responsibilities:

  • Properly taking spectacle measurements and dispensing
  • Adjust and fit eyewear correctly
  • Ensure finished eyewear meets optical standards
  • Placing optical orders and verification
  • Educating patients on eye health and related issues
  • Insurance and provincial health care billings
  • Accurate and careful handling of patient files
  • Maintain cleanliness of store and displays
