We are seeking an experienced and motivated optometrist to join our team on a long-term part-time basis. As an optometrist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services to our patients, including eye exams, prescribing corrective lenses, and managing eye diseases.
Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive eye exams, including tests for visual acuity, depth perception, and color vision
Diagnose and treat eye diseases and conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration
Prescribe therapies and corrective lenses, such as glasses or contact lenses
Counsel patients on proper eye care and safety measures
Maintain accurate patient records and communicate with other healthcare professionals as necessary
Provide exceptional customer service and patient care
Requirements:
Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited school of optometry
Valid optometry license registration in Ontario
1-2 years of experience as an optometrist is prefered
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Availability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
