Optician/Lead Eyewear Consultant

As our lead opthalmic dispenser, you will be at the forefront of our clinic, playing a pivotal role in delivering top-notch eye care services to our valued patients. Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients in selecting the perfect frames and lenses to suit their style and prescription. Educate patients on lens options, coatings, and frames to help them make informed decisions.
  • Assist in contact lens fittings.
  • Conduct precise measurements and personalized fittings to ensure optimal vision correction.
  • Educate patients on proper eyewear care and maintenance.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in eyewear fashion and technology.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and assist with administrative tasks as needed.
  • Adjust and repair eyewear as needed to ensure proper fit and functionality.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with all departments to ensure smooth workflow of optical jobs and patient orders.
  • Liaise and coordinate with frame suppliers and develop an inventory management system for profitability and good turnover of product including frame returns and vendor selection.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as an optician or in a similar ophthalmic dispensing role required.
  • Knowledge of different types of lenses, frames, and contact lenses.
  • Familiarity with optical equipment and tools used for measurements and adjustments.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately interpret prescriptions.
  • A keen eye for fashion and the ability to help patients find frames that make them look and feel fantastic.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for providing excellent patient care.
  • A collaborative team player who thrives in a supportive, friendly atmosphere
