Doig Optometry is a full scope optometry practice in central Calgary, at Heritage Drive and MacLeod Trail South. We have an urgent need for a full time Optometric Assistant who can dispense glasses independently. Our hours of operation are Monday 9-5, Tuesday 10 am-8 pm, Wednesdays 9-5, Thursday 9-5, and Friday 7am-3. We are Closed on Weekends. Applicants must be able to accept shifts as needed to cover any of these hours. Applicants must be able to perform visual field testing. Experience in any or all of the other competencies below will also be an asset and remuneration will be commensurate with the capabilities and experience of the candidate.

Telephone Triage of Eye Care Emergencies
Eye Exam Scheduling and Recall
Pre-Testing related to Vision Care including Tonometry, Photography, OCT, Corneal Topography, and Lensometry
Visual Field Testing
Contact Lens Dispensing
Frame Selection and Eyeglass Dispensing
Alberta Health Care Submissions and Reconciliations For Optometry Billings
Private and 3rd Party Insurance Claims and Reconciliation For Eye Exams, Eyeglass and Contact Lens Purchases.
Patient Recall for Routine Eye Exams and for Monitoring of Ocular Health Disorders.
