Orillia Optometry is looking for the perfect candidate that is vibrant and personable to join our amazing team. We are an expanded scope optometry office providing exceptional primary eye care and a large selection of specialty services, the scope of which is difficult to match.
We are currently looking to add a vibrant Optometric Assistant to our optical team. Frame selection will be done from our extensive selection of frames, and this position involves having a complete understanding of the most current lenses available to our patients and presenting them in a manner consistent with the patient’s visual needs and wants. Optical lab experience is an asset, but training can be provided. Cross training within our optical team is essential, and the willingness to assist in other areas of the practice is encouraged. The ability to work in a fast paced environment is mandatory, as is the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Providing exceptional patient care while providing an unmatched patient experience is the minimum standard.
The position will be full time, 30-35 hours per week (including one evening), with a comprehensive compensation package including health benefits.
We pride ourselves on fulfilling our Why Statement: At Orillia Optometry we elevate the experience by building trust and confidence through personalized education, support, and choice so that our patients feel understood, respected, and empowered with the knowledge to make the best decision for their eyecare.
Our why statement guides our decisions, ensuring exceptional patient care, though our 7 pillars of excellence: Primary Eye Care; Optical Gallery; Contact Lenses; Vision Therapy; Dry Eye Clinic; Myopia Management; and Macular Health.
Our team is built with exceptional people, all experts in their roles, and all working towards a common goal - providing exceptional patient care while also providing the best patient experience possible.
If you are seeking employment where you are part of a team, where your position is valued, and where you want to make a difference in the lives of our patients, then we look forward to hearing from you.
