Sage Creek Eye Centre is a new optometry clinic (2018) in a fast-growing community in the southeast corner of Winnipeg. We strive to offer the most thorough and personalized eyecare possible while working in a fun and supportive team-based environment. We offer complete eyecare services including primary care, pediatric eye exams, advanced disease management, contact lenses and eyeglasses.

Job description

We are looking for a Rockstar optometric assistant and Scribe to work alongside the optometrist and assist with clinical duties as well as administrative duties. This position includes tasks such as:

  • Assisting with all duties in the optical department (frame adjusting, repairs, dispensing eyewear etc)
  • Writing exam notes and letters in patient records
  • Pretesting (using auto-refractor, fundus camera, lensometer)
  • Running visual field tests
  • Ordering trial contact lenses, insertion and removal trainings

Qualifications:

  • Must be highly detail oriented and a proficient typist
  • Must have prior optometric experience
  • Dependable
  • Willing to work in a fast-paced environment

Schedule:

Must be willing to work during our normal business hours:

Sunday: Closed

Monday: 9:00am - 5:30pm

Tuesday: 10:30am-7:00pm

Wednesday: 9:30am-5:30pm

Thursday: 10:30am – 7:00pm

Friday: 9:00am – 4:30pm

Saturday: 9:00am – 4:00pm
