Sage Creek Eye Centre is a new optometry clinic (2018) in a fast-growing community in the southeast corner of Winnipeg. We offer complete eyecare services including primary care, pediatric eye exams, advanced disease management, contact lenses and eyeglasses.

Job description

We are looking for a Rockstar optometric assistant and Scribe to work alongside the optometrist and assist with clinical duties as well as administrative duties. This position includes tasks such as:

• Assisting with all duties in the optical department (frame adjusting, repairs, dispensing eyewear etc)
• Writing exam notes and letters in patient records
• Pretesting (using auto-refractor, fundus camera, lensometer)
• Running visual field tests
• Ordering trial contact lenses, insertion and removal trainings

Qualifications:

• Must be highly detail oriented and a proficient typist
• Must have prior optometric experience
• Dependable
• Willing to work in a fast-paced environment

Must be willing to work during our normal business hours:

Sunday: Closed

Monday: 9:00am - 5:30pm

Tuesday: 10:30am-7:00pm

Wednesday: 9:30am-5:30pm

Thursday: 10:30am – 7:00pm

Friday: 9:00am – 4:30pm

Saturday: 9:00am – 4:00pm
