A busy Optometry practice in South London is looking to add an OPTICIAN or experienced OPTICAL DISPENSER to our team. The ideal candidate will be a team player, have a passion for helping others, and a strong background in sales. A willingness to learn and grow is key!

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a high quality customer service/patient experience
  • Help patients to find the best and most suitable products for their needs through proper frame and lens selection.
  • Take measurements for, fit, dispense, troubleshoot and repair eyewear
  • Work closely with owner to optimize dispensary stock, organization and efficiency
  • Edge lenses on site
  • Experience with an electronic records system.
  • Order and maintain inventory of frames, lenses, and other optical supplies.
  • Train patients on proper contact lens insertion and removal
  • Work in collaboration with your team members for the optimal patient experience
  • Schedule appointments and maintain patient records.
  • Cross training on front reception and examination work-up

Qualifications:

  • Optician licence in Ontario and in good standing with the governing college
  • OR a minimum 2 years experience working in optical sales
  • Knowledge of various lens technologies currently offered
  • A strong sales background and positive personality
  • Ability to work in team environment

Currently we are hiring for a FULL TIME role, 4-5 days a week. Must be able to work until 6PM. Benefits offered. No evenings, no weekends.
