At Grand River Eye Care, we help you see, look and feel your best. We are an independent Optometry Practice, Eyewear Boutique and Dry Eye Clinic in Waterloo, with leading-edge dry eye and aesthetics treatments.

This job requires previous experience selling eyewear.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Sales Associate/Optometric Assistant to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for glasses sales, medical pre-testing, history taking, front desk and assisting our doctors. Join our friendly team in advancing eye health and enhancing the lives of our patients in a dynamic and rewarding environment. We can accommodate part time hours as well.

Responsibilities

  • Eyewear sales
  • pre-testing, dispensing, reception and coordinating with team members
  • Repairing and adjusting patients’ eyewear

The Successful Candidate

  • Is passionate about customer experience and is a great communicator in the English language
  • Previous optometric/optical experience
  • Has a flair for fashion and the latest style trends and is interested in glasses
  • Is committed to excelling as a member of a high-performing team
  • Is able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Has good computer knowledge, including the Microsoft Office suite
  • Is able to work in Canada immediately
