Position: Patient Care Coordinator

Location: Toronto, ON

Job Type: Full-time or Part Time

Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and outgoing Patient Care Coordinator to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring a seamless patient experience from check-in to check-out.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients warmly and ensure a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar efficiently.
  • Verify patient insurance information and assist with billing inquiries.
  • Educate patients on eyewear options, lens types, and contact lens care.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to emails promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain patient records accurately and confidentially.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and managing incoming and outgoing referrals.
  • Address patient concerns and escalate issues to the appropriate staff members when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration or related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a customer service or administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems preferred.
