Inspired Eyes is looking for a Full Time Optometric Assistant or Medical Office Assistant to be the first point of contact for our patients. We are an optical boutique and full scope optometric clinic set in a charming historic building in downtown Kelowna, BC. Our style of vision care is based on kindness and connection, building trust, and creating relationships with our clientele.

The reward of helping people to see life more clearly and feel confident and beautiful in their choice of eyewear is a daily delight at Inspired Eyes.This job is the perfect mix of healthcare with a splash of fashion to make it extra fun! Our opticians and optometrists will appreciate your assistance as you help the office run smoothly by taking care of administrative tasks and managing the flow of patients arriving at our clinic for their vision care. This role is both administrative and direct patient care. You will take Retinal Images and Scans using our Optos Monaco machine, adminster Visual Field tests and teach people how to insert contact lenses. Plus you’ll have an opportunity to share your flair for fashion by encouraging people as they choose their frame styles.

Certification as an Optometric Assistant (CCOA) or MOA is preferred. We are open to training the right individual. We provide continuing education opportunites for applicants interested in becoming a certified Eye Care Professional. Practical experience in reception or administrative roles gained from other settings, particularly other healthcare fields will be considered.
