At Vivid Eye Care, we pride ourselves on having state-of-the-art technology and equipment at our fingertips to help us deliver the best patient care possible. After 14 years in business, we are still actively growing, and we are looking to expand our team.

Vivid Eye Care at Cranston is looking for a full-time receptionist who loves to help patients with their custom needs. In this important clinic position, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, whether via phone, email, or in-person. Therefore, our ideal candidate will be warm & friendly, while also being organized and detail oriented. This person will thrive in a fast-paced environment.

This position will be based out of our Cranston location, but the flexibility to work out of our Meadows Mile location would be considered an asset. As our clinic is open evenings and weekends, availability for some evening and Saturday shifts will be required.

Your Role:

  • Answer multi-line phone system, transferring to appropriate clinic departments when needed.
  • Warmly welcome patients to our practice; confirming demographic and insurance information.
  • Create invoices and Alberta Health Care billings, process health insurance claims, and take payments.
  • Schedule appointments.
  • Respond to voicemails and emails.
  • Contribute to business growth by completing administrative tasks and accomplishing related tasks as needed.
  • Triage and handle priority/emergency situations in a timely & effective manner.

Your Compensation Package:

  • Competitive hourly rate based on experience, with annual compensation & performance reviews.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years customer service experience. Reception experience is preferred, while eye care experience will be considered a strong asset.
  • Approachable & communicative; must be able to easily engage with patients and our team.
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask.
  • Intermediate skill with computer programs, such as Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to learn new software (EMR programs), though experience with Visual Eyes software would be ideal.
  • Excellent time management skills.
