Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Optician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping patients achieve their best vision, excellent communication skills, and experience in fitting, dispensing, and adjusting eyewear.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients in selecting eyeglasses and frames that best suit their needs, lifestyle, and preferences.
  • Accurately interpret prescriptions and provide recommendations on lens options.
  • Measure patients’ eyes and face to ensure proper frame and lens fit.
  • Perform adjustments and repairs on eyewear to ensure comfort and fit.
  • Provide patient education on proper eyewear care and contact lens use.
  • Instruct patients on contact lens insertion/removal and care
  • Process and manage orders for eyewear and contact lenses.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of opticianry training or certification is preferred.
  • Previous experience working as an optician in an optometry clinic or optical retail environment is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of eyeglass prescriptions, lens options, and frame fitting.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills for processing orders and managing patient records.
