Wanted full time Optometrist for our clinics in Cape Breton.

We are seeking an associate optometrist to join our practice.  New grads welcome!  We currently have two optometrists in our busy full scope optometric practice. We have three clinics in Port Hawkesbury, St-Joseph-du-Moine and Baddeck. We provide routine eye exams, ocular, emergency care and co-management care to our patients.

Our office equipment includes:

●     EMR (Optosys software)

●     Humphrey field analyzer (main clinic)

●     OCT (main clinic)

●     Fundus camera (all locations)

●     Auto refractor/keratometer

●     Non contact tonometer

●     l-care tonometer

●     Pachymeter

We have three licensed dispensing opticians, an office manager, and three Canadian Certified Optometric Assistants. All pre-testing and billing is done by staff. Wages and vacation to be discussed, estimated salary range is $125,000 to $150,000. We will cover your annual NSCO licensing fee (currently $1785.95).  You would work in Port Hawkesbury four days per week and travel, with staff, to Joseph-du-Moine one day per week. Fluency in French would be an asset but is not required. 

Cape Breton has great beaches, trails, and golf courses. The town of Port Hawkesbury has many facilities for recreation including an arena, walking trails, playgrounds, curling rink, pool, baseball and soccer fields, squash courts, and gym. The area is known for its scenic beauty, which is great for people who enjoy the outdoors.
