We’re growing our family owned-and-operated eye care clinic and are looking for an exceptional Optometric Assistant / Optician to join our friendly and professional team.

As our Optometric Assistant / Optician, you will fill a combined education, sales, and service role. Responsibilities include providing expertise in the optical areas of frame selection, lens design, frame purchasing and inventory management as well as adjustments, repairs and troubleshooting patient problems or concerns. Cross-training in all practice departments including front desk and pre-test will be provided.

Ideally, you will have a post-secondary education and a minimum of two years’ experience working in an optometry/optical setting. Previous retail experience is an asset. Certification as an Optometric Assistant (CCOA course) or a licensed Optician is preferred. You must be willing to work on-site for 8-hour shifts between 8 am and 8 pm, Monday to Friday. This is a fulltime position of 35 – 40 hours per week. Shifts at both locations may be required but this posting is primarily for our Kingston location.
