Here we grow again! We are expanding our family owned-and-operated eye care clinic and are looking for an exceptional Optometry Front Desk/Optometric Assistant to join our friendly and professional team.

As our Optometry Front Desk/Optometric Assistant, you will fill a combined patient service and technical assistant role. Front desk responsibilities include answering a high volume of calls, booking appointments, greeting in-office patients and maintenance of patient electronic records, third party billing and financial records. Duties will also include performing diagnostic testing and pre-exam testing, maintaining patient flow through the clinic and updating patient electronic records.

Cross-training in all practice departments including the optical will be provided. Optical duties will include frame selection, lens design selection, adjustments, repairs and troubleshooting patient problems or concerns.

Ideally, you will have a minimum of two years’ experience in an optometry clinic or in other customer service field. Having strong multi-tasking, organizational, and time management skills with superior attention to detail is an asset. While experience is an asset, we are willing to train the right person without experience. You must be willing to work on-site for 8-hour shifts between 8:30am and 5 pm, Monday to Friday. Most shifts will be in our New Minas location but some shifts in our Kingston location may be required. This is a full time position of 30-40 hours per week.
