Calgary Family Eye Doctors is looking for an enthusiastic and outgoing personality to join our team. We take pride in providing excellent patient care and we want someone who will help us maintain these standards.

OPTOMETRIC ASSISTANT (FULL-TIME POSITION)

Job Duties:

Reception: Greeting and checking in patients, answering phones, booking appointments and various administrative tasks related to patient care, payment processing and insurance billings.

Pretesting Patients:

  • Taking case history, auto-refraction, tonometry (Icare), FDT, Humphreys VF, OCT scans, Optomap imaging and administering ophthalmic drops as required.
  • Accurately documenting all patient clinical findings and communications in electronic medical records.

Our office incorporates state of the art equipment and integrated electronic medical records. Hence, the candidate should possess excellent computer skills. This role requires strong attention to detail, efficient and friendly patient care as you perform patient work up.

Dispensing Eyewear: The candidate will also be required to dispense and fit eyewear. Training will be provided.

Experience: IS AN ASSET BUT NOT REQUIRED. WE WILL TRAIN THE RIGHT CANDIDATE.
