Guelph Eye Care

Busy multi-doctor optometry practice serving Guelph for 30 years is looking to add an OPTICIAN to our team.

Experience would be an asset but excellent interpersonal skills and good customer service experience ard the most important attributes - we will provide training for the right candidate.

Salary commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent patient experience
  • Assisting patients select frames that work best with their face shape, personality, style and needs
  • Understand visual needs and recommending suitable lenses
  • Measure for, fit, dispense, troubleshoot and repair eyewear
  • Train patients on proper contact lens insertion and removal
  • Work in a team environment
  • Cross training on front reception and diagnostice digital imaging
  • Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, receiving payments, patient billings, recalls, document management and data collection

Qualifications:

  • Optician licence in Ontario and in good standing with the governing college
  • Excellent customer service experience
  • Ability to work in a team environment
