Corktown Eyecare is a growing Optometry practice, looking to add a new FT Permanent staff member to its team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing the following under the direction of the Doctor:

  • Administrative duties that would include but are not limited to filing, emails/correspondence and billing.
  • Strong communication skills, with attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment
  • Handling Front desk/Reception, phone inquiries, emails and booking appointments.
  • Utilizing electronic records management software
  • OHIP/Insurance billings and validations
  • Maintaining Clinic's cleanliness and sanitizing testing areas and equipment.
  • Commitment to to effective and timely completion of tasks and timely communication
  • Clinical testing with patients before and during their exam.
  • Utilizing imaging and diagnostic equipment (Optos, Retinal Camera, OCT, VFT, AR/NCT)
  • Internal and external communication with other care providers, sending referrals to specialists and following up.
  • Contact lens teaches
  • Utilizing electronic records management software including sensitive and confidential information
  • Training on all equipment is provided
  • Eager to learn and master new tasks to continue to facilitate a high level of patient care
  • Customer Service/Sales duties by building lasting relationships with our patients
  • Assisting patients with styling and and advising about their purchase of eyewear
  • Consultative selling
  • Understanding patients and being attentive to patient needs
  • Being goal oriented and being dynamic to meet targets

This is an active role that requires a creative thinker with strong customer service skills. English language proficiency is a must to be an effective communicator. You will be the first and last impressions that patients interact with, thus requiring you to have effective time management skills, as well as the ability to multitask and prioritize ongoing responsibilities.

Computer literacy is necessary to be a successful candidate for this position.

Monday 8:30 - 5

Tuesday 11- 7

Wednesday - currently closed, but potential future changes with continued growth

Thursday 11 – 7

Friday 8:30 - 4

Saturday 9-1

Must be available for the hours above.
