Ophthalmic Technician

Stratford Eye Specialists is an Ophthalmology practice in Stratford is looking for a full time Ophthalmic Technician.

Responsibilities

· Patient pre-testing including visual acuity measurement, intraocular pressure, administer eye drops and medication, perform Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) testing, Visual Fields, Ocular Biometry.
· Performing patient medical histories
· Utilize Electronic Medical Records (Accuro)
· Assist in pre-operative surgical administrative duties
· Occasional reception duties: greeting patients, booking appointments and answering phones
· Other tasks as required for patient care and clinic operation.

Qualifications

· Ability to adapt to variety of patient types (especially elderly), and comfortable working in close contact with patients
· Attention to detail with ability to multi-task
· Team-oriented, collaborative with willingness to learn and teach others
· Familiar with computers and ability to learn new technology and programs
· Experience in an Ophthalmology or Optometry office is preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
