Corktown Eyecare is seeking a career-driven Full Time Optometric Assistant to join our team!

Corktown Eyecare is a growing Optometry practice, located in downtown Toronto on the East side.

Are you a people first individual who is looking for a career that combines medical with fashion? Then this is the role for you!

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing the following tasks under the direction of the doctor:

Administrative including but not limited to emails, billing, booking appointments, patient scheduling, phone inquiries and customer service

Clinical Testing You will be using the latest imaging and diagnostic equipment to support the eye exam. (Training provided on all equipment)

Eyewear Sales You will be assisting with the styling and advising about the purchase of their eyewear

Our patients are our number one priority. This is an active role that requires a creative thinker with strong customer service skills. English language proficiency and strong communication skills are required to ensure we are able to meet our customer service standards. You will be the first and last impressions that patients interact with, thus requiring you to have effective time management skills, as well as the ability to multitask and prioritize ongoing responsibilities.

Computer literacy is necessary to be a successful candidate for this position.

Availability

Monday 10 - 6

Tuesday 11- 7

Wednesday - currently closed, but potential future changes with continued growth

Thursday 11 – 7

Friday 10 - 4

Saturday 9-1 - potential for further changes with continued growth

Must be available for the hours above

Experience:

  • Customer service/Sales: 1 year (required)
  • Optical: 1 year (preferred)
