Job Summary:

The National Education Manager is primarily responsible for the training, education and technical support of customers and sales associates.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Train new sales associates.
  • Coordinate ongoing professional development of sales employees.
  • Visit customer offices to train on Shamir products and services.
  • Organize, coordinate and host digital learning initiatives including live webinars.
  • Address customers issue related to education.
  • Monitor and evaluating the effectiveness of education initiatives.
  • Develop training ideas to enhance sales levels.
  • Attend conferences and optical events to drive business.
  • Participate in special projects and other sales tasks as assigned by the National Sales Manager to support the achievement of sales targets.
  • Run off site training seminars for groups of customers for the purpose of educating the ECP on Shamir products and services.

Qualifications:

  • Licenced Optician
  • Strong optical background and knowledge is required.
  • Detail oriented and positive work ethic
  • Expert in optical theory and lens production and dispensing
  • Strong organizational skills and leadership skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Expert in quality standards
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the optical industry
  • Strong computer and presentation skills including Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and motivate teams and engage customers.
  • Frequent travel to customer sites (greater than 50%)
